About CLCS
The Lithuanian community of Calgary was founded in 1966 with the aim of preserving the Lithuanian language and culture for future generations. Since the beginning of its activities, the community has become a gathering center for Lithuanians, where the native language and culture were nurtured, as well as various events, national holidays and activities to preserve traditions.
The Lithuanian Community of Calgary is a non-profit organization operating on a volunteer basis, where its members actively contribute to the organization of community activities.
Every year, the community organizes various events, such as performances by national dance groups, concerts, Saturday school for children, summer camp "Kretinga" in Toronto, and commemorates Lithuanian national holidays and traditions.
We invite everyone - both young and old - to be active members of the community, make new friendships and strengthen ties with Lithuania.
